The Heart of Iowa Cloggers, a vibrant clogging group in central Iowa, was formed in 2021 after the Sugar Creek Cloggers relocated to Florida. With the desire to keep the tradition of clogging alive in the region, the group quickly established itself as a hub for enthusiasts of this unique dance style. Under the direction of Lois Holmes, the Heart of Iowa Cloggers continue to showcase the energy and artistry of clogging, performing at various local events and fostering a community of passionate dancers.
The Heart of Iowa Cloggers are more than just a dance troupe—we are a family of dancers united by a passion for rhythm, community, and fun. Clogging is a truly American art form, blending elements of folk dance, tap, and Irish step dancing into a percussive style where our feet become the instrument.
What makes our group special is our versatility. On any given day, you might see us clogging to a lightning-fast classic like Orange Blossom Special, a traditional bluegrass song, or a modern pop hit like Uptown Funk.
